COUNTERATTACK AGAINST THE ARGUMENT THAT THE WORD ‘GOD’ IN THE NEW TESTAMENT ONLY INDICATES JESUS

World mission society church of god believes God Ahnsahnghong and God the mother.

Let’s find out why the arguments of the ones who deny God the Mother are wrong.
They say that the majority of the word “God” in the New Testament is singular, not plural. In the New Testament, “God” in Greek “Theos” is singular and it is recorded 309 times in the New Testament. However the plural “Theoi” is written only five times in the New Testament.
Mark 12:29 “The most important one,” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel, the Lord your God [Theos], the Lord is one.’ ”
Quoting this verse, they insist that God indicates Jesus who is one, and not Ahnsahnghong or God the Mother.

Let’s find out the correct answer through the Bible
Does it matter whether the Greek word, which indicates God (Theos), is singular or plural?
It is an undeniable fact that God referred to himself as “us” no matter how the word ‘God’ is written.
Genesis 1:26-27 Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.” So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him male and female he created them.
God who created all things and human beings referred to Himself three times as “us”in Genesis 1:26.
Therefore, even though it is written in singular “Theos” in Greek, the Creator God is surely God the Father and God the Mother who are referred as “us.”

Also, they emphasized the fact that the singular form “Theos” is mentioned in the New Testament 309 times. If they judge by the number of times the singular form is used, the plural form “Elohim’ is mentioned 2,500 times in the Old Testament. Don’t they have less evidence?
However, this matter cannot be judged on the base of how many times a word is used. Isn’t the fact that God Himself spoke and had it recorded in the Bible more important?
Even if “God” in Greek is used in a singular form, there is no problem in describing God as “us,” because it is a teaching of the Bible to describe God as one even though they are two, God the Father and God the Mother.

How many people are Adam and Eve? Certainly they are two.
However, the Bible describes the two as one. Because of Adam and Eve, sin entered the world and death came to all men, however the Bible testifies that it was through one man Adam that sin entered the world.
Romans 5:12~15 Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man . . . Nevertheless death reigned from the time of Adam to the time of Moses, even over those who did not sin by breaking a command, as did Adam . . . For if the many died by the trespass of the one man . . .”

Why is it written in the Bible as if only one person sinned, even though it was two people who sinned?
This is because the Bible considers Adam and Eve as one body (Ge 2:24), but the representative among the two is Adam.
As we know, Adam and Eve are created in God’s image and in God’s likeness. In other words, they are the copy and model who were made in the original image of God, and for this reason through Adam and Eve, we can understand God’s nature.
God the Father and God the Mother exist, and we can consider Them as one. Therefore, the fact that God is expressed in a singular form does not deny the existence of God the Mother.

WMSCOG - Our Heavenly Mother has existed......

World mission society church of god believes God Ahnsahnghong and God the mother.

Heavenly Mother is not God who has suddenly appeared in this age. Even before the Creation, God the Mother was with God the Father.

Ge 1:26-27 Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness..." ... in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.

Since “male” and “female” were created in God’s image, it is certain that God of male image and God of female image existed. We call God of male image “God the Father”, and God of female image “God the Mother”.

Mt 6:9 "This, then, is how you should pray:" 'Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name,
Gal 4:26 But the Jerusalem that is above is free, and she is our mother.

And the reason that the word “Elohim,” which is a plural term for God, was often used is because God the Father and God the Mother exist. That’s why God did not say, “in my image,” but “in our image.”
